“They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood. But the Lord is my defense; and my God is the rock of my refuge. And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; yea, the Lord our God shall cut them off.”

Psalm 94:21-23

We have an enemy that comes against us day and night to accuse us
before our God. He is helped in his vicious task by the demonic host
of fallen angels. They tempt us to fall into sin and Satan accuses us
of being unrighteous in the midst of our trial. Whether we fall into
sin or not, the accusations are just as condemning as if we had
fallen.

But, the Lord God is our righteousness, the Lord is our defense, and
he is our refuge from every accusation whether they are true or
false! Even if the accusation is proven to be true it cannot be
leveled against us! How can I say this? Because the Word of God
tells us simply and clearly that Jesus bore our sin, our shame and
our guilt upon himself when he died upon the cross. He was made sin
for us that, in Him, we might be made the righteousness of God.

No longer are we condemned if we believe what Jesus has done for
us. No longer must we toil under the yoke of shame and guilt, for
our Savior has set us free, and placed upon our shoulders the yoke
of His redeeming love; perfect, pure, holy and unconditional. But,
one day, the Lord shall cut off our accusers forever! (Isaiah 14:12-
20)
